Senior System Engineer for Aircraft Wiring and Electrical System (m/f)

Tasks:

  • Work associated with the design, development,integration of a new Electrical power generation and distribution system aswell as electrical wiring interconnection system (EWIS) to be certified according to EASA CS23/FAR23

  • Perform conceptual design of an aircraft electrical power generation and distribution system

  • Perform conceptual and detailed design of an aircraft wiring system

  • Provide guidance to electrical design engineers

  • Perform drawing checks on Electrical Schematic Diagrams (ELS), Wiring Diagrams (WDG) and Wiring Harness Diagrams (WHD)

  • Define compliance documents as required under guidance of the responsible CVEs (e.g. Electrical Load Analysis (ELA))

  • Create Specifications for equipment

  • Conduct Development and Certification Tests on a test bench as well as the prototype aircraft

Requirements:

  • We are looking for a proactive, flexible and responsive person who has very good conceptual skills as well as interpersonal skills and is able to work independently and as a team player. Other requirements include:

  • Experience with Aircraft Electrical and Wiring System development and Certification at an aircraft manufacturing company

  • Knowledge of related CS23/FAR Part 23 requirements

Tasks:

  • Responsiblef or / coordinating the weights tracking of all aircraft level parts

  • Support weighing of components and collect weights of external produced parts

  • Review designs and collect estimated/calculated weights

  • Estimate design and system weights where forecasts are missing

  • Update old weight lists and conduct comparison of old & new weights, show delta weights

  • Calculate COG (center of gravity) for all parts and review & track COG for parts,options and loading scenarios. Check acceptability of COG limits for the aircraft.

  • Propose weight saving potentials

  • Re-use and/or develop new tracking tools

  • Propose forecast methods (e.g. paints, sealants, fastener)

Requirements:

Airworthiness Office Expert
